Okay, here goes a useless rant: If I’d never read the book, this would seem like a fucking amazing movie. But since I know the book backwards and forwards, the trailer really let me down. Honestly, Patrick is the only character who fits the picture I have in my head. I know, however, that they can’t make a movie exactly as I pictured it, but you understand where I’m coming from. Part of me really wants to go see this movie, but an even bigger part wants desperately to hold onto my original version of it in my head and skip the movie completely. And the only reason I’m having such a hard time with this is because this book literally got me through high school. It had a bigger impact on me freshman and sophomore years than anything else and I want to hold onto my version of it. I just don’t know.
OMG I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS. Patrick, for me, was less of a flamer from how I pictured him in the book. Charlie is less awkward in the movie from how I pictured him in the book. Sam is about how I pictured her. I AM SO GLAD PAUL RUDD IS THE ENGLISH TEACHER. And I’m really excited about finding out who the other characters are :D. I got chills seeing this trailer and I seriously can’t wait. :D

Here’s a friendly reminder:
-You cannot be sexist toward men. Sexism is based on a system of oppression. You CAN be discriminatory, rude, inconsiderate, and/or prejudiced against men but you CANNOT be sexist toward them.
-You cannot be racist towards white people. Racism is based on a system of oppression. You CAN be discriminatory, rude, inconsiderate, and/or prejudiced against white people but you CANNOT be racist toward them.
This is not difficult.

Enlarged Heart
The differences between a normal human heart and one enlarged by alcoholism and high blood pressure. Covered in scar tissue, the enlarged organ is nearly twice the normal size. Such alcoholic cardiomyopathy weakens the heart so that it is unable to pump blood adequately
